Het credimus.nl-gebed: uit de Vespers van de 30ste zondag in het B-jaar.

Almachtige God, dikwijls zoeken wij in tranen naar het geluk waartoe Gij ons geschapen hebt, en dat wij niet kunnen zien. Laat ons de mensen vinden die ons bij U brengen. Ontferm u over ons zodat wij in vreugde belijden dat Gij redding en vertroosting brengt.

Almighty God,
Frequently we tearfully search for the happiness for which You have created us, and which we cannot see.
Bring us to the people who can bring us to You.
Have mercy on us that we may joyfully proclaim that You alone bring salvation and consolation.
